The first of three major Masters Athletics events to be held in Spain this year was the European Indoor Championships in Madrid from the 19th – 24th March. Team GB secured 79 Gold, 60 Silver and 49 Bronze medals.
Athletes from Northern Masters AC contributed to this success with a World Record from Wendy Laing in the High Jump and the following medallists:

Many other NMAC athletes were involved including myself in the M45 Pentathlon – no medal I am afraid but a couple of PB’s and an absolutely amazing experience!
