England Masters XC trial race to select the team to represent England in the British & Irish Masters International Cross Country in Leeds on 15 November– Entries are now open!
Are you interested in representing England in the annual British and Irish Masters Cross Country International and earn an England Masters vest? This year’s International is being held at Roundhay Park, Leeds on Saturday, 15 November – an iconic venue used to host the National Cross Country Championship on several occasions. The International has been held on an annual basis since 1988. Hosting rotates around the five home nations of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland, it is England’s turn this year. Teams compete in five year age categories from the V35+ age category. For the M35, M40, M45 & M50 and W35, W40, W45 and W50 age categories, there will be teams of five. The remaining age categories, M55 to M80 and W55 to W75 are teams of four.
A trial race being held on Saturday, 27 September at Betley, near Crewe which will be used to selection the majority of the team. The first three finishers in each age category will be automatically selected from the selection race, the remainer of the team members plus 3 reserves for each age category will be selected in a selection meeting held after the selection race.
