December Newsletter
Well, here we are, nearly at the end of another year, and you wonder where it has gone.
On reflection it has been a busy year with many events being promoted. Maybe not as many as NMA wanted but at least enough variety to hopefully cover all aspects of athletics. NMAC are hopeful of including more events in 2025. There will be more information when finalised.
NMAC finished the year off with the 10 mile Championship as part of the Preston 10 and the Ken Mayor 5K road race in Leeds. Some of our members competed in both events. Well done to them for supporting both of our events only 8 days apart.
BMAF are hoping to promote an Indoor Pentathlon and a 3000m at Sheffield in January. You may have already received information regarding this from NMAC. If you are interested in competing, please let us and BMAF know. Due to the high costs in putting on this event, BMAF would like to have some idea of the support they would receive before committing to putting on the event.
England Masters Athletic Association (EMAA) have a vacancy for a Cross Country secretary. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of cross country, especially the annual International XC event as well as being able to organise a selection race and a selection meeting. If you would like further information or are interested in this vacancy please contact NMAC Chair with your credentials.
All that is left to say is that on behalf of the committee of NMAC we wish you all an enjoyable festive season and hope that in 2025 you continue to improve in whatever branch of athletics you do.
Phil Lee NMAC Chair
