I will mention those I spotted, let me know who I missed out please!
Let’s start with Mr.Tony Bowman, our incredible M90 performer. Plenty of health issues but nothing stops him.I hope I am correct in saying he won 5 golds( HJ, 60m,60m hurdles,200m and relay.)
Also, silver in the Triple Jump and a bronze in the long jump.Truly Inspirational.
Next, how to describe John Wright’s gold medal winning superlative performances ONCE AGAIN is difficult.
He totally dominated the M65 sprint events, ran faster than the M60s and set 2 World records and 2 European records.
60m 7.73 European Record
200m 24.46 World Record
400m 54.92 World Record ( he won by over 4 seconds!)
4x200m European Record 1:47.67
Other Golds were won by Jo Rowland W35 shot 13.44m ( 2nd place was 12.74m so she won that easily) and the W35 Pentathlon 4018 points
Nia Rutter W40 was also a Gold medallist, in the Pentathlon 3642 points. A hard contest where she fought and came out on top.

I surprised myself by winning 2 Golds, in the W75 Shot ( 9.66m )and Javelin (20.61), both huge personal bests. The shot was particularly exciting as I won it in the last round.
Darren Scott,below showed his class, winning the M55 200m with ease,(23.88 and set a European record in the semi of 23.77) and gaining a bronze in the 60m(7.53).
Tracey Ashworth was in scintalling form, winning the W50 400m easily in 61.53 but unfortunately couldn’t contest the 200m final though injury.
Jed Turner, below continued the good form he showed last year by winning a bronze in the 800m in 2:31.20 ,5th in the 1500m ( 5:09.99) and 7th in the 3000m(11:33.71).
Lisa Gawthorne W40, gained bronzes for individual ( 17:58 chip time) and team 5k road . She also got 4th position in the 1500m(5:01), equalling her p.b. and 5th in the 3000m in 10:34.20. A wonderful set of results!
Relay medallists were Anita Saunders ( Gold in a European record of 1:54.96) Julie Hicken (1 Gold World recording breaking result in the mixed relay- 1:52.42), 1 Silver), Leeroy Golding (Silver), Angela Kelly(Silver).and Rick Cordwell dropping down to the M40 team nd gaining bronze.
4th places were achieved by the following :
Tony O’Brien 3000m (9:43.72) and Tony also came 9th in 1500m (4:31.74)
Julien Gittens, M70 missed out on a bronze by 2 cms in the Triple Jump (10.52, a season’s best).
Rob Hodges came 4th in M35 3000m in 8:52.88.
Steven Taylor, back to form came 4th in M65 1500m in 5:06.58 ,5th in 800m in 2:36.70 .
Kevin Dillon was in the Cross Country and Road race teams that placed 4th.
Anita Saunders had a very good Champs.Apart from her role in the 4x200m European Record breaking relay, she came 6th in W55 200m final (28.67), 6th in 60m final (8.69, 8.63 to qualify) and 8th in Long Jump with 4.08m.
Julie Hicken, as well as winning 2 medals in the relays, came 6th in W60 60m,9.25 and just missed making the 200m final, running 30.89 as 7th fastest in the qualifications.
Angela Kelly ran well in the W65 60m, finishing 7th fastest in the rounds with 9.60. missing the final by three hundreths and ran well in the 200m .
Kate Scott ran superbly to make the W60 800m final and came 8th in 2:52.18 (2:50.10 in the heats). She also ran a season’s best in the 400m semi final coming 4th in 74.51. A very good Champs!
Hazel Barker made the final cut off in the W65 Discus, finishing 8th with 20.46m.
Steven Doxey came 9th in M65 1500m final in 5:32.70 ( a season’s best) and also ran a season’s best in the 800m.
Mike Coogan ran well in the M50 200m semi(23.80) to reach the final, but didn’t appear to run in it.
Antony Burniston M60 ran 8.04 to progress to the semis of the 60m and 26.78 to get to semis of 200m. However he didn’t finish that race unfortunately.
Andy Hunter M65 reached 2 semi finals, 60m and 200m, running 2 season’s bests (8.43 and 27.38).
Malcolm McPhail 26.45 to reach the M55 200m semi.
Alina Stepanchuk narrowly missed the W55 800m final and also had a good effort at the 5000m walk. Unluckily she got DQd at 4 kms.
skin W75 ran 13 .12 in the 60m heat.
Tom Grantham was unlucky not to progress from the heats, of the M40 400m just missing qualifying with 53.56
Andrew England M50 cleared 1.50m in the high jump
Debra Casson ran 10.00 in the W55 60m and 33.06 in the 200m
Rick Cordwell coming back from a muscle tear did well to finish the M45 Pentathlon with 2401 points, only 50 points short of his 4 year old p.b. He also competed in the Pole Vault and won a relay bronze.
