POSTAL HALF AND FULL MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIPS

April 1, 2024 @ 00:00 - March 31, 2025 @ 23:30

Marathon and Half Marathon Championships 2024-5 -postal style
Due to the obvious difficulties in organising Marathon and Half Marathon events for a small number of competitors NMAC have always combined them with an existing event. This can lead to difficulties in where the events are held and when they take place, as they may not always be convenient for our athletes that wish to take part.
NMAC are going to hold the above championships as a postal championship in the future. This will mean that our runners can then choose the event that they wish to enter and which best suits them in terms of location and date. Once your time has been recorded all you will need to do is send a copy of proof of event and finishing time along with your age and UK club to the Chair to enter the NMAC championships. Your entry will be logged and compared with others in your age / gender category so that medal positions can be decided. You can enter as many times as you like in either Championship but proof of time needs to be submitted with every entry.
Guidelines for NMAC Postal Marathon and Half Marathon Championships 2024-5
The Championships are open to all members of NMAC who are paid up members in the Championship year
The Championships will run from 1st April to 31st March in the following year, known as The Champion Year.
Members can submit as many entries as they like in each of the distance categories during the Champion Year.
Entries submitted must be in the current Champion year and cannot be carried over from a previous year or into another year
Results must be from UKA certified courses anywhere in the UK
A copy of the results, clearly showing the time achieved, should be submitted to the NMAC Chair by email to chair@northernmasters.co.uk
Medals will be awarded in each age and gender category where there are sufficient entries
Medal positions will be decided after the closing date
No late entries will be accepted
Should you move into a new age category during the Champion Year then you can enter this new age category, as well as your previous age category, as long as the results you submit start from when you changed age groups.
