London Marathon 2026

Well Done Glenn 🏅

This years club place London Marathon place went to Glenn Piper, this is the email i received from him after completing the race this year.

I had a race of 2 halves. First half going fine at 3.45 pace but then my knee gave up at halfway and I had to hobble and walk and jog the last half. I decided to chill and just enjoy the whole experience and atmosphere. The crowds and the noise are insane. It’s been 43 years since I last did the London ( or any marathon to be exact) so it was a very emotional experience and I am so glad I got the chance to return to the iconic London. I am proud I made it to the finish and got my medal and had a great weekend. Not the time i wanted at the finish but it was a very satisfying experience in so many ways. I couldn’t walk afterwards and had to have my knee strapped up in  the medical tent but it was all worth it. Thanks to Northern Masters for the chance to experience the thrill of London once again. If ever you get the chance just give it a go ( and the ballot is already open for next year) That’s me done with marathons now so over to someone else next year🤩🙏
