Northern Masters England Cross Country Team Selection
Many Northern Masters athletes made the journey over to Betley near Crewe for the trial race to selection the England Team for the British and Irish Masters International Cross Country Championships, which this year are being held in Belfast on 16th November.
Those athletes who ran in the race were treated to a proper cross-country race, which was held in conjunction with the North Staffordshire Cross Country Leagues first race of the season on a great course and good weather. Being fairly close to home, the was an excellent turnout from Northern Masters athletes with our 73 entries accounting for a third of the field.
Of those athletes, congratulations to the 28 athletes who were awarded for the efforts by places in the team and 10 with reserve places. Notable results from the selection race include:
